About Us

Welcome to the Nigerian Studies Association!

The Nigerian Studies Association (NSA) is an affiliate of the African Studies Association. We are a scholarly, non-profit professional organization committed to the promotion of Nigerian Studies.

In addition to promoting Nigerian scholarship, the NSA provides a means for the publication of scholarly research, the exchange of information, and the cultivation of cooperative activities within the field of Nigerian studies worldwide. We work to apply our accumulated skills for the benefit of Nigerian society and to facilitate an understanding of Nigeria and its relationship to the wider world.
